Fun fact: I am a certified park ranger, Greenpeace firefighter, tracker, rescuer, drone pilot, geodesist, shooter and ATV driver. One night a wild boar got caught up in a snowdrift unable to dig up food for days. Luckily, the poor guy got into the sights of one of my photo traps which immediately sent me an MMS with a photo and coordinates. Yes, I had to drive a dying wild boar in a trailer of my snowmobile across the sanctuary. In my years serving in environmental protection (2013-2018) I went from a park entrance guard duty to representing my country out in the White House Washington DC at Global Forest Alliance delegation. And now being an ambassador of BabyBNBTiger, a project that is aimed at preserving wildlife and helping children I’ve just realized I’ve spent my past doing similar things. Coincidence or not, there’s something magical about this project. It just brings out the best in people. Sometimes it brings out your past. I’ve been always hiding my past, often from myself, because obviously, environmental protection never paid well. I was struggling to pay the rent, hardly making $300-500 a month risking my life out there but honestly.. Being part of such an innovative movement today, a completely different thing yet with similar goals I think I went full circle and I’m gonna need some time to process haha.
